SEA CUCUMBER COLLAGEN

What is it?

Our star ingredient and the base of every Bescher product is Sea Cucumber Collagen. Sea Cucumber, also known as "Holothurians", are cylindrical marine invertebrates or "echinoderms." The algae they consume are the source of their collagen-containing, nutrient-rich & bio-active-abundant profiles. The structure of sea cucumbers is mostly made up of collagen, hence why they can heal quickly and survive the extremely harsh seafloor environment.

What does it do?

Sea Cucumber Collagen is a unique source of marine collagen that repairs skin collagen and elastin protein fibers. It also generates a protective layer on the outer skin surface (epidermis) and enhances the homogeneous distribution of collagen fibers in the dermis by promoting an increase in the number and activity of skin fibroblasts.

Sea Cucumber Collagen is composed of echinoderm mutable collagenous tissue (MCT), a unique extracellular matrix with high similarities to human connective tissue. This provides the optimal environment for new collagen biosynthesis, cell regrowth, and tissue repair. What's more Sea Cucumber Collagen contains essential amino acids that assist in preventing skin irritation and damage, provide optimal moisturizing properties, and create a perfect environment for eczema- or acne-prone skin to regenerate.

MUNAPSYS

What is it?  

Now, THIS is an ingredient you don't see every day. Why? Because it is a fresh (and insanely youthful-looking) face on the cosmeceutical block. What's more, Munapsys is the FIRST active synaptic skincare ingredient EVER. Yes, neuroscience and cosmeceuticals are compatible! What makes it synaptic is the unique way in which this peptide acts on pre-synaptic and post-synaptic levels, targeting the newly discovered protein Munc-18 to prevent the development of the SNARE complex, the process of aging in the skin, and activating the acetylcholine neurotransmitter, respectively… Basically, all scientific jargon and labels that essentially spells skin T.R.A.N.S.F.O.R.M.A.T.I.O.N. 

What does it do? 

Munapsys is a ground-breaking anti-ager due to its firming and collagen-boosting abilities that act on the deepest level to provide unbeatable results, flattening wrinkles, elasticizing tired skin, and dramatically improving the appearance of skin texture. SQUALANE

What is it?  

Oily and acne-prone skin rejoice, squalane is here to replace those mineral or oleic oils and nasty chemicals commonly found in typical moisturizers that claim to nourish your skin but leave it oilier than before, sensitive and irritated AND (worst of all), breaking out! SqualEne (with an E) is instead naturally derived from plant sources as a lipid and then stabilized through hydrogenation into squalAne (with an A) to be used in cosmetics as a non-comedogenic emollient and moisturizer. Our bodies produce squalene to nourish skin cells. However, like hyaluronic acid, it falls victim to the aging process and degrades rapidly, hence why squalane is the perfect nourishing and synthetically stable addition to any skincare, especially for those with excessive sebum production.

What does it do? 

As an emollient, it hydrates and as a moisturizer, it well… moisturizes! Although it is technically an oil, squalane leaves no oily film and, unlike other oils, it is free from any unpleasant odors. Squalane doesn't just stop there though; it's a free-radical fighter and detoxifier thanks to a multitude of antioxidants and, while providing your skin with a barrier from the elements, it is also a natural booster of collagen meaning aging or dull skin will be glowing again in no time! KAKADU PLUM 

What is it? 

We're going back to our roots (literally) with this ingredient… Kakadu Plum Extract is from the ripe yellow Kakadu Plum fruit grown in the Northern Territory, Australia. It has been used for thousands of years by Australia's Indigenous Aboriginal peoples as a soothing, wound healing and scar fading antiseptic, so don't just take our word for it when we say this little miracle fruit has some incredible skin benefits! We're talking 3000mg of Vitamin C per 100g of fruit!

What does it do?

What is it?

Due to its unique structure, it has the mind-boggling ability to exponentially expand by absorbing water up to 1000x its original volume! In cosmetics, HA is synthesized and reinforced in order to replace and BOOST the HA that our skin otherwise naturally contains but loses in the dreaded aging process.
